Buy buttons

The Buy Buttons block displays the primary purchase actions on the product page. It typically includes the Add to Cart button and, depending on the store configuration, an accelerated checkout button (such as Shop Pay, PayPal, or Google Pay) that allows customers to complete their purchase immediately without going through the full cart flow.

This block is one of the most critical elements of the product page as it is the direct entry point for the customer's purchase journey.

Notes

• The Add to Cart button adds the selected product variant to the customer's cart and redirects or updates the cart depending on the store's cart settings.
• Accelerated checkout buttons (Shop Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, etc.) are displayed based on the payment methods enabled in the Shopify admin under payment settings.
• If a variant is out of stock or unavailable, the button state updates automatically to reflect that — typically displaying as disabled or showing a sold-out label.
• Only one Buy Buttons block is allowed per section (limit: 1 ).
• Dynamic checkout buttons can be enabled or disabled from the Shopify admin independently of the Add to Cart button.
